Leading lodging & tourism group to bestow honor Wednesday in Scottsdale
TUCSON, AZ (May 15, 2018) – The Arizona Lodging & Tourism Association will present its Hotelier of the Year Award to HSL Properties Founder Humberto S. Lopez. The ceremony will be at the annual Arizona Tourism Unity dinner on Wednesday, May 16, at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa.
Tucson, AZ (January 3, 2018) – While the holiday season tends to bring much needed attention to neighbors lacking basic necessities―like food for the family holiday table―it can be easy to forget in the hustle and bustle of a new year that hunger continues for some beyond the season of giving. That’s why the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona is teaming up with HSL Properties, KGUN 9 News, and Sun Tran for a Stuff the Bus food drive event on Friday, January 12. A Sun Tran bus will be parked at Canyon Oaks Apartments, 600 N. Pantano Rd. (Pantano Road and 5th Street), from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to accept donations supporting the fight against hunger in the Tucson area. With KGUN 9 broadcasting live during the event, organizers hope to not only match, but to exceed the 30,000 pounds of food collected last year.
On January 13, HSL Properties, partnering with Sun Tran and KGUN 9 News, will again be sponsoring a Stuff the Bus food drive, to benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. The public is welcome to bring donations of non-perishable food or cash, at River Oaks Apartments, 7730 E. Broadway, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
More than 1,300 walkers and 100 volunteers made the 4th Annual Walk for Kids the largest yet. Presented by HSL Properties and McDonald’s Local Owners/Operators, the event raised over $100,000 which will cover the cost of more than 1,033 family nights at the Ronald McDonald House.

Lopez of HSL Properties announced the formation of a new partnership that has completed the purchase of The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain resort. The hotel will continue to be managed under a long-term management contract by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. The hotel is one of only ten Forbes 5-Star Ritz-Carlton Hotels, and is rated the No. 1 hotel in Arizona.
